I was briefly retired in 2012 and just about to love it! Well, I was going to be semi-retired. Consulting with folks I really enjoy working with on subjects that really motivate me. But, having just sold our little hotel/restaurant, Hotel Charlotte in Groveland, CA, we needed to take a long break. Both for ourselves and our the new owner….
So one day we packed our bags and hit the road for Wisconsin. We started with my family so we could catch my niece’s mid-June dance recital…. What fun that was! Afterwards we headed up north where my parents summer every year and vacationed for 3 weeks. In that last week we had started looking at properties. We look at properties every where we go, so this wasn’t much of a surprise. But SURPRISE! We bought Cedaroma Lodge a few short weeks later, closing the deal before August!
The property is 8 cabins on Little St. Germain lake. This blog was started last winter to chronical our adventures in Wisconsin. In our first year, I found myself fairly busy acclimating and ended up putting this blog off to the side. I hope to be better this winter and get into the habit of blogging nearly daily.
